As a violinist\, she has soloed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and New York Philharmonic\, recorded for Naxos\, Bridge\, Albany\, and Toccata labels\, and been awarded Chamber Music America’s ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming. Frequently she performs at the world’s leading venues such as Carnegie Hall\, the Guggenheim Museum\, and Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw. As an educator\, she has been a two-time Morse Fellow\, was a New York Philharmonic Teaching Artist\, and has been Artist-in-Residence at Dartmouth\, Williams\, and the Universities of Virginia\, Leeds (UK)\, and Columbia. She earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at the prestigious Juilliard School and a doctorate at Columbia University. Additionally\, she holds an MBA. \nAbout Anna: Russian-Armenian pianist Anna Arzumanyan made her debut at age 9 in Sochi\, Russia. A student of Erna Savchenko and Svetlana Medvedskay\, Ms. Arzumanyan competed and performed\, appearing as a soloist with the Belorussian State Orchestra\, the Rostov Philharmonic\, the Sochi Symphony Orchestra\, and as a soloist at festivals throughout Eastern Europe. At a young age Ms. Arzumanyan was selected for sponsorship by the prestigious New Name Foundation. With their support\, she performed frequently across the Soviet Union and participated in masterclasses and performances at the Moscow Conservatory. Ms. Arzumanyan went on to perform as a soloist in France and Belgium. Before emigrating to the United States\, she received her Masters degrees in piano performance and chamber music performance from the Yerevan State Conservatory\, where she studied with Alexander Gourgenov. Her voice can be heard on numerous radio spots\, and her face can be seen in several currently running television commercials. She holds a BA in Communications/Theatre from Western Colorado University.

DESCRIPTION:intro to acting – middle school \n03 | 19 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm \n\n\n\n\nIntro to Acting with Heather Hughes – Middle School\n \nHave you ever wondered about acting?  Come try it out in this super fun and energetic acting workshop!  Using improv/theatre games and activities\, we’ll practice acting skills that help build confidence\, encourage bravery\, and hopefully make you laugh A LOT!  NO experience necessary.  All you need are comfortable clothes that you can move in\, shoes that stay on your feet\, and a readiness to play! \nClasses limited to 20 students to allow for social distancing in the Center’s Steddy Theater. Masks required at all times. \nHeather is a professional actor\, director\, and teaching artist. She has worked for many years at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts\, Buntport Theatre and The Denver Art Museum as well as two seasons as the live narrator of the Tiny Tots’ Inside The Orchestra series in Denver.  In NYC\, Heather was a Teaching Artist with New Victory Theatre and ENACT\, and is a proud company member of Trusty Sidekick Theatre Company. Heather teaches acting classes for all ages at the Gunnison Arts Center\, The Weehawken Center for the Arts in Ridgway\, online for The Denver Center for the Performing Arts\, and is a guest director at Western Colorado University. Heather has appeared as an actor at The Denver Center\, Lonetree Arts Center\, and Miners Alley Playhouse\, among others. Her voice can be heard on numerous radio spots\, and her face can be seen in several currently running television commercials. She holds a BA in Communications/Theatre from Western Colorado University.

DESCRIPTION:Tours are EVERY SATURDAY AT 3PM \nWant to learn more about the history of our wonderful Town and Valley? Join the Crested Butte Museum for a historic walking tour! Tours meet at 3pm in the garden next to the Museum at 4th and Elk Avenue. Tours cost $20 (members) and $25 (non-members) and last 1.5hrs to 2hrs.  All proceeds support the Museum’s general operating fund. \nLocation: \nThe Museum\n331 Elk Ave\nCrested Butte\, CO 81224\nUSA \nDay of the tour: \nCome to the Museum 15 minutes prior to the start time of your tour and wait in the garden directly west of our building. Signs will be in place to direct you. If you have not pre-registered\, check with the cashier and/or tour guide to see if we have space.
